Rick Meidel recently retired from ExxonMobil and joined Crowley Fuels as vice president and general manager, responsible for the performance and day-to-day operations of their Alaska division in Anchorage, Alaska.

retired as the captain of Jacksonville Fire Department in June 2018 after working for the city since 1990.

Mark Dochterman '02

was selected as a 2018-19 President鈥檚 Executive Leadership Program Fellow, a professional development program meant to strengthen leadership among the three universities that comprise the University of Illinois System. Dochterman was among a limited number of individuals chosen for the program from a competitive pool of 60 nominations. He is visiting assistant vice chancellor for student engagement for the University of Illinois Springfield.
 

聽Benjamin Prince '03

received the 69th Annual Arthur S. Flemming Air Force-Level Award. He was recognized in the basic science category for his research in next-generation electronic propulsion systems. The Flemming award honors outstanding federal employers who have made a significant and extraordinary contribution to the federal government.

is a third grade teacher at Hawthorne Elementary School in Keokuk, Iowa.

is vice president of sales and marketing at the ATB Technologies in Chesterfield, Missouri. Courtney Traub is a merchandise planner at ModCloth.

June 2, 2018. Dave works for Hasbro and Joy recently earned her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut in Human Development and Family Studies. They reside in Danielson, Connecticut.

Dr. James Geiselman '10

completed postdoctoral training to receive his diploma from the American Clinical Board of Nutrition. He is currently an assistant professor of allied health at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. 

Jaimie Newby '12

was elected as the 2018-2020 chair of the Small Colleges & Universities Advising Community within the National Academic Advising Association. She also serves as the vice president and webmaster of the Merrill鈥檚 Marauders Proud Descendants Association honoring WWII veterans.  

Hayleigh Ray '12

graduated from the University of Florida with her Ph.D. in entomology and nematology. She is currently employed as a teaching assistant at the University of Florida and plans to pursue a professor position

is a retail banker at Woodforest National Bank in Jacksonville, Illinois. 

Laura Reynolds '13

graduated from University of 51成人 of Veterinary Medicine and is a veterinarian at the Danville Small Animal Clinic in Tilton, Illinois.

graduated from Florida Institute of Ultrasound in Pensacola, Florida, and currently works for HSHS St. John鈥檚 Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, as a cardiac sonographer.

is enrolled in a master鈥檚 program for music in vocal performance at North Park University Chicago. 

Brett Palmer '19,

a senior math major pursuing licensure to teach secondary mathematics, was awarded a 2018 Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics Scholarship. Nine IC students have been awarded this scholarship since 2005.
