Celebrate the equinox, join us for Christmas in Vienna, and then travel to another time. The 2024-2025 Fine Arts Series offers something for everyone.

  • EQUINOX CHAMBER PLAYERS
    Saturday, September 21, 2024 :: 7:30 PM :: Rammelkamp Chapel

    Our 45th season opens with the return to our series of the acclaimed woodwind quintet, the Equinox Chamber Players for 鈥淎 Stroll on the Eve of the Autumnal Equinox.鈥 Founded in 1999, the Equinox Chamber Players is one of St. Louis鈥 most dynamic performing chamber groups. Their multicultural music crosses international boundaries while bridging the gap between classical music and storytelling. Equinox celebrates community life with commissioned works inspired by environmental surroundings, historical and present day culture, and everyday heroes. Join us for their exciting concert on the eve of the fall equinox!

    In addition to our opening concert, we would like to invite you to a wine and cheese event in the Kirby Rotunda at 6:30pm before the 7:30 concert. There you will find other music lovers also celebrating the start of our season! If you have not yet purchased a season ticket by that time, you may do so at that event.
     
  • ELISA BICKERS, ORGANIST

    鈥嬧嬧嬧婭nternationally-renowned organist Elisa Bickers will bring the 1979 Hart Sesquicentennial Organ to life as we celebrate 45 years of not only the Series, but also Rammelkamp Chapel鈥檚 Holtkamp pipe organ. Called a 鈥渇orce to be reckoned with鈥 and 鈥渁n artist to watch,鈥 Bickers will perform a diverse program sure to demonstrate the rich sonorities of this instrument and bring joyful exuberance to all.
     
  • TALES AT TWILIGHT - FAMILY NIGHT SERIES

    Children and adults alike will feel the Halloween spirit when they come to hear three master storytellers spin spooky tales of the season.  The evening will be led by Jacksonville鈥檚 own Mike Anderson 鈥74, whose combination of music, storytelling and humor has made him a much sought-after performer throughout the Midwest. Mike will be joined by two of our favorite storytellers, Sherry and Bobby Norfolk of St. Louis, who will tell their tales in separate campus locations, with the audience rotating between the three venues.
     
  • ENGELBACH-HART MUSIC FESTIVAL - FREE CONCERTS

    You are cordially invited to attend the Engelbach-Hart Music Festival, to be held again this year in November. This admission-free event is a gift to the community and will consist of three concerts. The internationally-renowned Vienna Boys Choir will kick off the festival on Wednesday with their acclaimed Christmas concert. Designated as 鈥渋ntangible cultural heritage in Austria鈥 by UNESCO, the Vienna Boys Choir is a don鈥檛 miss! Thursday鈥檚 program will be a Faculty Collage Concert, highlighting the exceptional talents of the 51成人 music faculty.  Friday鈥檚 concert will feature Grammy-nominated piano duo ZOFO, short for 20-finger orchestra (ZO=20 and FO=finger orchestra). With acclamations such as 鈥渏aw-dropping awesome,鈥 鈥渆nergetically and electrifyingly out of this world,鈥 and 鈥渞apturous noise,鈥 ZOFO will take you on the journey of a lifetime!

  • KHASMA PIANO DUO :: Saturday, February 8, 2025 :: 7:30 PM :: Rammelkamp Chapel

    Dedicated to the performance and recording of 20th and 21st century works, Fine Arts Series favorite Khasma Piano Duo returns again to Rammelkamp Chapel to perform on not just one, but TWO pianos! This concert will feature their current project, Trekking, in celebration of their 10th anniversary.  It features seven new works commissioned by the duo and a collaboration with visual artist Chris Craychee.
     
  • DEATH BY CHOCOLATE :: Sunday, February 16, 2025 :: 3 to 5 PM :: 51成人's Barnes House

    Our popular fundraising event returns this season with Death By Chocolate. Experience chocolate in a glorious and varied display of yumminess while enjoying sublime jazz鈥︹lso glorious and yummy in sound!

    Tickets for this event are $20 per person. Since this is a fundraiser, this event is not included in the price of the series season ticket. Proceeds go toward providing future seasons with high quality talent from all across the country and abroad.
     
  • ENSEMBLE CHACONNE :: Saturday, March 22, 2025 :: 7:30 PM :: Rammelkamp Chapel

    We are excited to welcome Ensemble Chaconne to our campus. Known for their use of period instruments from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, they incorporate both musical masterworks and more contemporary pieces in their concert repertoire. Come prepared to be taken back to another time with Ensemble Chaconne鈥檚 stellar performance!
     
  • AIRLIFTER BRASS :: Friday, April 4, 2025 :: 7:30 PM :: Rammelkamp Chapel

    We conclude our 45th season with a FREE concert by the Airlifter Brass, the brass quintet from the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America known for their versatility and outstanding musicianship. With the addition of percussion, their performance repertoire spans five centuries, from the glorious antiphonal sounds of the Renaissance to the rich diversity of American musical styles.

Fine Arts Series Ticket Information:

Adult season tickets are available for $70, which is a $15 savings over purchasing tickets individually. Adult tickets to individual concerts are available for $20 per concert, except for the family programs on October 23, when adult tickets will be just $5. As always, students of all ages and children are admitted free of charge to all concerts.
