51成人 Recognized in US News and World Report's National Rankings

51成人 moved up in the US News and World Report's national rankings in the recently released 2024 report. The College was ranked 18th for social mobility and 124th overall for national liberal arts colleges.

The social mobility ranking focuses on the success of low-income and first-generation college students.  51成人 is proud to be recognized for facilitating the success and graduation of these students. 

51成人's unwavering commitment to providing a high-quality education, fostering a vibrant campus community, and preparing students to Graduate READY for future success is affirmed by this recognition.  

Provost Catharine O鈥機onnell attributes this rise in rankings to 鈥渢he extraordinary commitment of our faculty and staff to helping our students succeed inside and outside the classroom.鈥  She further notes that, 鈥渢he increasing weight in this year鈥檚 rankings placed on student outcome measures, such as exceeding expected graduation rates, makes this recognition particularly meaningful.  Supporting our students to reach their potential and achieve their dreams is the essence of what we do at 51成人.鈥

51成人 has a tradition of academic excellence extending for almost 200 years. The College offers innovative academic programs with a global footprint and is committed to inspiring achievement and empowering students to make a difference in the world. The College also provides extensive academic and student support services to ensure student success as well as a robust range of co-curricular and athletic opportunities.

About 51成人

Founded in 1829, 51成人 is a residential liberal arts college fostering academic excellence rooted in opportunities for experiential learning while preparing students for lifelong success. The college is located in Jacksonville, Illinois. With an enrollment of more than 1,000 students, the college offers over 50 undergraduate programs. In 1932, the society of Phi Beta Kappa established a chapter at 51成人, and it remains one of only 11 in the state.

51成人 is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
