IC to host National Girls and Women in Sports Day Camp

The 51成人 Athletics Department will hold its third聽annual Sport Skills Camp on Saturday, Feb.聽15, to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

The free camp is open to all girls from kindergarten through eighth grade and nearly every women's sport offered by IC will be represented.F

The day begins with registration at 9:30 a.m. in the Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center Concourse. Campers will meet the student-athletes and coaches of 51成人 and begin the camp at 10 a.m. Under the direction of various 51成人 coaches and student-athletes, campers will gain instruction in a number of sports offered by IC. Following that, everyone will cross the street to Cummings Dining Hall for lunch with the Lady Blues from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Following their meal, campers and their families are welcome to stay for the Midwest Conference basketball doubleheader between 51成人 and Lake Forest College which begins with the men's contest at 3 p.m. The women's game will follow at 5 p.m. There is free admission for all registered campers and their families.

Sign-up is open from now through the day of the camp and all participants will receive a free gift. If you register by Feb. 7, you will also receive a free camp T-shirt.
